Homoeopathy treatment for Hypothyroidism and Bronchial Asthma
 
A 33 years old female Mrs. HLN, had come with complaints of dry cough, breathlessness with wheezing in the chest on and off since last three years. She also had complaints of burning in the throat with fearfulness, restlessness and palpitation. Her restlessness and breathlessness complaints were so intense that she could feel that her heart would stop beating at one point of time. Her complaints would increase at night 1 a.m. which would last for about twenty minutes, during winter season, after eating cold things and sour things.

She was a known case of hypothyroid since last two years and was under allopathic treatment tablet Eltroxin 50 mcg once daily.

She also had complaints of hair fall. Her menses was scanty and irregular.

She cannot tolerate cold weather. Her thirst was reduced. She would feel bitter taste in mouth on and off. Her appetite was good.

By nature, she was very anxious and fearful. She had anxiety about health. If she happened to see accidents then she would feel much restlessness with palpitation. She had lots of in security feeling. She was angry and loquacious.

Patient was given homoeopathic medicine Arsenicum Album in infrequent doses in variable potencies as per the indications. Gradually she recovered well. All her complaints improved. All her aggravating factors did not affect her much. She was gradually switched off from allopathic medicine Eltroxin.

Note: Arsenicum Album used in this case is as per the indications. In all cases Arsenicum Album cannot be given. Every case has its unique presentation for prescription. Same medicine cannot be used for all the patients suffering from same disease condition. Homoeopathic medicines should be always taken under physician’s guidance only. Self-medications are not safe and prone to side effects.
