A 55 years old male Mr. KYA, had came with complaints of throbbing pain and swelling in multiple joints on and off since last three to four years. His bilateral metacarpal joints, elbow joints and shoulder joints were affected. His complains started initially on the right side and then on the left. He had much stiffness with pain. His complains increased during winter season. His joints were warm to touch.

Investigation: R A (Rheumatoid Arthritis) factor was positive.

His appetite was poor. He had no desire to eat. He was ambi thermal. His bowels were regular but would require straining while passing stool. He had craving for eating sweets. He had tasteless feeling since many days. His thirst was more. He was feeling weak.

By nature, he was a timid person with lack of confidence. He could not talk easily in public; he would become restlessness and would start palpitation. He would get anger fast and express more towards family members. He wanted others to obey him and follow his commands.

He had a history of quarrel between himself and his boss. He felt lots of tension within him. He became irritable but was not able to express his anger towards his boss. According to his son, he was an irritable person with increased fear of disease. He had a desire for company.

Patient was given homoeopathic medicine Lycopodium in infrequent doses in variable potency as per the indications. He recovered well after the treatment within few months.

Note: Lycopodium used in this case is as per the indications. In all cases Lycopodium cannot be given. Every case has its unique presentation for prescription. Same medicine cannot be used for all the patients suffering from same disease condition. Homoeopathic medicines should be always taken under physician’s guidance only.
