Homoeopathy treatment for metrorrhagia (menstrual irregularities)
Case Record No…….. Dated……….

A 25 years old female Mrs. LTA, had complains of uterine bleeding at irregular intervals between the expected menstrual periods since last six months which would last for 4 to 5 days. She had bright red color menses without any clots and it was non offensive.

Along with these complains she also had weakness and blackouts with desire to lie down. Her appetite got reduced significantly. She also had pain in bilateral calf muscle.

Six months back her menstrual cycle was regular, every 28 days cycle lasting for 5 days. No apparent cause was present for the change in menstrual cycle.

Her blood profiles and sonography reports were normal.

By appearance, she looked lean and thin. She could not tolerate cold weather. She does not feel thirsty much. She liked to eat food that tastes sweet. She had aversion to take milk. Her both palms and soles were cold to touch. She would perspire moderately.

By nature, she was a fearful person. She had a great fear of dark, fear of ghost stories, fear of dead bodies. She does not like to be in groups. She would feel very comfortable when she was alone. She could not bear anybody criticizing her. She would get angry fast and very irritable. She does not like to be consoled. She would experience palpitation whenever she became anxious. During her childhood she had frequent and unbearable headache due to school work.

Patient was given homoeopathic medicine Calcarea phosphorica in infrequent doses as per the indications. Her menstrual cycle gradually became normal. She recovered well.

Note: Calcarea phosphorica is used in this case as per the indications. In all cases Calcarea phosphorica cannot be given. Every case has its unique presentation for prescription. Same medicine cannot be used for all the patients suffering from same disease condition. Homoeopathic medicines should be always taken under physician’s guidance only.
