A boy of 5 years old had come with complaints of fever since one day which had a range for about 101-102 degree Fahrenheit axillary. Fever would get subsided temporarily after taking paracetamol syrup. Denied having any complaints of cough, vomiting, nausea and coryza along with fever.

However, he had complaints of lachrymation (watering from eyes), irritability, sleepiness and generalized weakness along with fever. Also his thirst was significantly reduced and was unable to bear heat.

He was given homoeopathic medicine Pulsatilla in infrequent doses as per the indications. He got completely recovered. His lachrymation was stopped. His irritability got reduced. He was feeling energetic and active.

Note: Pulsatilla was used in this case as per the indications. In all cases Pulsatilla cannot be given. Every case has it’s unique presentation for prescription. Same medicine cannot be used for all the patients suffering from same disease condition. Homoeopathic medicines should be always taken under physician’s guidance only. Self-medications are not safe and prone to side effects.
