ANGIOEDEMA AND HOMOEOPATHY TREATMENT
#1
A 7 yrs. old female child had come with complaints of swelling over face, cheeks and around lips since few months. Her complaints started without any specific cause. She was taking allopathic medication tablet cetrizine with temporary benefit.

By nature she was very irritable and would get angry easily. She would avoid food intake during anger and get aggravated if anybody tried to console her. She was obstinate, mischievious and not interested in studies. She was talkative at home and reserved outside. She had fear of father and getting scoldings from him. She would like to do make-ups on her own.

She looked shy and was biting nails during consultation. She generally cannot tolerate warm weather. Her thirst was more. She had marked aversion for eating vegetables. No specific complaints about urination and defecation.

She was given homoeopathic medicines Pulsatilla in infrequent doses as per the indications. She recovered well within few months. While on treatment she had few episodes of generalized skin itching which was managed well with homoeopathy medicines. She gradually stopped taking allopathic medicine tablet cetrizine and was completely mannaged well with homoeopathy medicines.

Note: Pulsatilla is used in this case as per the indications. In all cases Pulsatilla cannot be given. Every case has it’s unique presentation for prescription. Same medicine cannot be used for all the patients suffering from same disease condition. Homoeopathic medicines should be always taken under physician’s guidance only. Self-medications are not safe and prone to side effects.

Case Record No.: TNG 09/25
Dated: 10th September, 2017.
